Last night I knelt at the bed as I do most every night and prayed. Gave thanks for all. When I was done I settled into a moment of mental silence, and quite immediately, like a crisp little bell I heard a voice softly say, "Each lives a separate existence, but thinks they live the same one." That was quite off topic if you like, and it startled me because I was so at peace in silence, without thought. I wrote it down and we settled into bed. But then I had a thought. It was 'Don't check the time.' And then it all made sense. Time is of the essence. (You can argue over whether it exists if you like and I'll leave you to it. I simply wish to speak easy to understand words.) We don't have much time. You know in the movies when they only have 15 minutes and they've got to cut some wires and someone else has to remove a key on a device and its all got to happen at exactly the same time, (the thing they don't have much of) or the world will die? The guy that 'saves the world' is too busy problem solving and running to know how much time is left and if he's going to make it or not. He just assumes that somehow he will in fact make it, and then goes hard out, gives it absolutely everything he has, uses every bit of himself and what he knows and takes a punt that maybe it will be enough. All the people that aren't busy saving the world (reaching their destiny) are aware of the time and casting votes as to whether old mate is going to make it.

I see life that way. And I think I wouldn't want to be the person who is aware of the time and casting votes. I think I'll just keep running and take a punt that, wherever my key is, I'm going to make it there in time, and I'm going to get it.

I hope it will be the same for you.
